Jinky meets the Dog Community ******************************** I let Jinky out to play and sat down to answer Victoria Day emails I can see him through the window as he sashays across the street to visit the new people in the new house directly across the way here They are almost done moving into their brand new built home that Jinky has been visiting everday of its construction to interfere with the various teams of workers at every phase of assembly The new people moved in their furniture last week It all looked new and white and comfortable I noticed their enormous wide screen TV illuminating their living room at night like there was a strobe light in there and it has only been this weekend that they have been able to sit on their own brand new front porch with their grown children drink coffee and just sit and enjoy their new home their new neibourhood and their well deserved peace and quiet Thier crisp Gap clothed son his short haired ipod jock wife and out of control dalmation puppy are visiting from the evil city in their white car bike racks installed over the back bumper everybody is wearng new sports shoes and they have brought all the Holiday Weekend newspapers' all the way from Toronto The puppy is all over the porch even though tied up with a red colar and lead gulps water from a brand new black plastic dog dish I can see the price sticker from here Jinky appears from beneath their parked car tail waving like an olympic event flag to parade past the assembled cast of family just because he can the dog goes bizerk and knocks a coffee mug perched on the railing sending it tumbling into the bare soil garden below three people are on him like a football tackle to subdue his passions as he yelps and thrashes in vain Jinky deftly leaps up onto the porch, slipping between the railing rungs by passing the stairs and welcome matt and as i can see clearly from here walks right past the dog pile to roll in the sun a few metres away I can see his sassy red tail waving from between the white railing rungs - he's that close to the action The Mom person emmerges from inside with a laundry basket of freshly folded towels and bends down to scold Jinky Dog people are not usually sympathetic to cats and view them as undiciplined interlopers Jinky reponds to rejection by swimming lovingly between her ankles The dalmation puppy is now completely hysterical and is being hoisted up into the sons rams as his wife clamps his spotted muzzle shut with two hands as she shushes him in the ear - ........SHAAAADAAAPP....... The Mom puts the laundry basket down to move the casual clubs coffee cups before they get broken in the fracus And now that everybody is distracted Jinky jumps into the laundry basket and lays on the top towel to enjoy the action: One insane dog' -teased out of control by a vindictive kitten one young couple working in tandem _to destroy that dogs natural ambitions one Grampa person _ shouting unheeded moral directives One gramma person _ watching her dog family towels contaminated by an invasive species cat Yet Gramma person gently picks Jinky up to scold him after all, he has broken every rule of dog fearing society but he will have none of that- and playfully bites the wagging finger while ignoring the dogs spirilng anxiety as they carry Jinky to the lawn and sush him -back home -away in general -possibly into heavy traffic Jinky just slowly parades away and disappears back under their new white car from where he first emmerged if they want him they know where to find him
