the Library is for Everybody *****************************
great day today pal calls and says he has a bunch of new music for me and can he drop off a CD? Sure he zooms over with two tubs of sprouts he made lots and they grow so fast in the watm weather so we listen to his music eating lentil sprouts his work is good he gets better with every new project guy is amazing musician and easy to work with so he says its time to go to Tim Hortons and get a coffee he notes I don't have any coffee here and we need to get to the library and see their yard and fixtures in case we can put a show on there later in the summer and he wants a coffee first though and at last minute for a laugh I say " Let's take Jinky?" he says sure him & Jink go back a long way right to his first arrival here last fall when he was five inches long a nd slept in a kleenex box so I put Jinky in the car and we zoom over to Tims without incident '-and at the take out window pal orders a large double double .. and.. uh.. two extra little creams for the cat the girl serving us just handed it over, saw Jinky in the front seat and sort of shook her head then we drove on to the library I let Jinky out to run in thr parking lot and explore the ornamental garden but when we went inside I had to use a piece of string to coax him inside it was such a fine day and he he danced right in with us past the lady asking us to sign a petition to ensure universal health care for all canadians I asked if that would someday include a dental plan teeth are part of the body she said she wasn't sure _not sure that teeth are part of the human body? Jinky walked all inside the library as we talked to the librarian about our plans for a summer show when we went outside to measure the little terrace for the show Jinky walked all over the railings watching us very polite' almost bored with being a renegade pet on the loose in a public place as we weare leaving.. the pages, or junior librarian helpers rushed out to see the cat that had been walking around in the library jumping up on the railings they don;t get a lot of cats there - like none ever before Jinky was the first ever cat that walked into the library they loved him rubbed his belly a he loved it I wonder if cats are allowed in the library i didn;t see any sign posted that read " NO CATS ALLOWED " he didn;'t make any noise' he wasn't smoking and wasn;t bringing in any food I am sure cit was OK he did sharpen his claws on the matt by the main door it was just laying there begging to get a little ripped up heck, anybody would have done the same thing
