Now, the steam roller can accomplish this same task of rolling over grains of sand regardless of how many grains there are under it, even if they are in the same proximity as one another but spread thinly or uniformly over a particular area. Lets say there are MILLIONS of grains of sand. As long as those grains remain loosely organized and spread out, the steam roller goes wherever and does whatever it wants to because even though those grains of sand may be a nuisance, they are not an obstacle and the machine can continue on its merry path. It may not roll over all of the grains of sand by virtue of there being so many, but there is nothing to stop it from rolling over which-ever ones it wants to. Now, take those same grains of sand, including YOU the individual grain of sand and organize all of those grains into ONE large pile. Say the same sand that was covering a square mile of area an inch thick. Now you have a PILE of sand. Lets for arguments sake say that pile is now FOCUSED on ONE acre of area and is now 50 feet tall with real steep sides. The steam roller can no longer navigate the sand because they are outside the rollers ability. The steam roller simply wasn't designed to accomplish THAT task, it is not a dune buggy. The steam roller is large, cumbersome and only really works on a realitively flat smooth surface without much resistance and so is made basically ineffective. You cannot get to this point though without organizing and bringing together all of those grains of sand and getting them into this large focused pile. By alienating people, offending people, arguing with people, belittling people, constantly pushing people away from the pile for a variety of reasons unless they subscribe to each and every belief, process and mantra of an individual the pile will never be achieved thereby giving free license to the steam roller to do exactly what it was designed to do...steam roll things...."
