24 Frames a Second ********************* Tonight I hosted a film debut party- mine a short project of my friends music set to my footage all tarted up to mak a story I invited everyone who was involved in the production- actors',camerapersons sound followers, editor, title maker and anyone who did us any favours along the way them and their significant others leslie hosted the evening because she has the largest cleanest place hers is not a messy boys art place and she has an expresso machine & more than three cups and heck, these all match and somebody brought some oven fresh first edition well crafted gingerbread people with real frosting and smarties they were actually good and we said so as so much Christmas baking is crap when you really think about it. Mince meat tarts for instance qualify as hard core food porn My new movie was well received everybody howled at the funny parts tapped along at the musical parts gasped at the drama parts snickered when the villain did wrong went Woe ! at the heros as they suffered for being well meaning idiots and applauded wildly when they saw their name roll by on the credits Lights came on and everybody looked satisfied with their part and how it all came together into one smooth flowing film as pro looking as anything on the tube we may be assholes but we work hard and well together Small town life has its setbacks as far as facilities are concerned but is exceptionally rich in humanity goodwill and big dreaming Then we heard a whole bunch of new music the musicians had been working on it was so beautiful that the coffee went cold as we listened intently to every tone phrase and audio wiggle We are certainly rich in talent and ability in downtown Dorkville Culture is what you do not what you line up to see like, who needs the big-time when we have such a good-time in this armpit of the world ? The whole idea is to shape art from nothing then impact on your friends hearts and that we did. So now we can all die satisfied but actually, I prefer to live to try again nothing like a high-end Gingerbread man to let you know all is well in the world too bad about the coffee getting cold what did you expect? this isn't a restaurant you know
