the zipping and
unzipping of jackets
the anticipation squeels
of kids receiving donuts
not prerecorded music
on an ipod

table three yonder
all are hard wired into
the slim white wafers
of moods on tap
delivered into their skull holes
by thin white wires
an entire day of
pre selected moods
created by other people
who actually can deal
with genuine emotion
the table three civvies
are on a life long voyage
with a carefully charted course
of woe poetry loops and sampling
simply because
thats what they're used to
of whiney girl dance music
to keep the libedo up
Clinton era anxiety bands
to cover a broken romance
Bush era rebellion super groups
for the walk over
some Metalica for pizza slice oomph
Kurt Cobain to address
disappointment in general
when was the last time
any of these Ipod heros
experienced a self sustaining
emotion wave?
