man, when is summer coming
it was so cold last night
i got up twice
once to close the window
and then again to grab an extra blanket
its june
and its cold
i'm saving a fortune in suntan oil
flashback to March
wearing a sweater
and thick socks
drinking more tea
just to have something
warm to hold
reverting to heavy food
for fear of freezing
the unconscious mind
has its own priorities
and some are a little nuts
only the conscious mind can laugh
only the unconscious mind suffers
the brain offers suggestions
the body follows orders
the soul looks on
in constant amusement
March rerun in June
I'm not the only one
taken in by the hoax
Taser is eating recreationally today'
hanging around the house
whines out of boredom
just wants to lay on my warm lap
and sleep the day through
I am not getting much done this way
but at least i get a purr recital
and a warm lap out of the deal
for a retro March day in June
that's rather ok
why fight
a losing battle
with climate
think of it as
waiting for the train-

the dream schedule
