Politics- Final Fantasy ********************** ( based on a conversation with a retired civil engineer at Tim Hortons ) " The expectation that someone running for public office will have _exactly the same perspective on every issue as you do is ...unrealistic Chances are pretty good that you will vote for someone if they agree with your big issue and a couple of others. To the right : Conservative / Republican - they throw a candidate away if they are not 100% what they want because _principles are all that matters. To the left : Liberal / Democrat they will vote for anyone if they offer 50% of what they want because_ power is more important than _principles.
