Letter to Alex 5 ***************** " trespassing is the word yes its public space but public access was temporarily suspended, that was clear- lots of warning, fences and police lines.. public access suspended to public space is not exactly martial law when police stretch out yellow crime scene tape // public access suspended when a funeral procession passes // public access suspended when the parks dept cuts the grass // public access suspended when some public agency posts " no swimming // public access suspended when a city posts no dogs allowed,,// they are targeting a species when a park posts "no loitering after dark // public access suspended ...after sundown.. etc etc etc when people, whoever they are decide they are going to force access to a closed access public area they should reasonably expect a big hassle. If they walked on a " don;t walk on the grass" area of a park they would reasonably expect a citation When 10,000 people decides to swarm a restricted access zone they know is restricted access they should reasonably expect to meet up with organized civic response resistance= aka: the cops and they did =and they got spanked for their trouble I note the parts of downtown Toronto that were temporarily designated public access suspended areas are now fully accessible.. shop with confidence, 24-7 Anarchists are even welcomed back into McDonalds, Starbucks &the Gap with their fresh new front window glass = no hard feelings
