Hot Tub ******* i was first introduced to the idea of a hot tub in the mountains of california. Our host set us up in her hot tub and went to town to buy beer, and do errands but would be back later in the day. So we settled in to experience this ultimate west coast symbol of slow and easy laid back leisure What we didn;t know was this hot tub had a broken thermostat and the water slowly got hotter and hotter... We didn;t know what a hot tub was all about and had no idea it wasn;t supposed to work like a slow cooker, After two hours simmering in ever hotter water we were pretty weak and semi conscious out of it like the proverbial frog who didn;t notice the gradually creeping temperature of his kettle of water swimming pool over the slow fire when host returned home with the beer mentioned we should have turned the down when it got comfortable and we shouldn't have stay in the hot water so long,, and it smelled like " chicken stew " Well that's what you get for watching eagles fly and not paying attention to the rising red collum of the thermometer.. but in the succinct oral tradition of California all I can say is "whatever"
