Italian Design
**************

The Italians follow a different design path than the rest of us,, they build the best for the wealthy who patronize the design process and then it goes into production for the middle class, And when they are done with it , the poor get it.

Fascism has >nothing to do with Socialism or Communism or even Consumerism. Its not actually a bad way of doing things if you are in for the long haul.

A bunk bed that can do _ more, take up less space and last an entire lifetime is worth way more than any recycling project or old growth forest awareness campaign.

The Italians designed the best fighter planes of WW 2 but did not have the money to put them into mass production- when they realized the Germans didn't have the money to win, they dropped out of their Axis deal and joined the other side who DID have the money. Hey, its just business as usual with a few tanks.

Italians invented scuba diving from scratch- to compensate for their lack of a modern navy so they blew up everybody elses navy while they were tied up at the dock. They designed every aspect of underwater living to accomplish this from the foam rubber suit to the goggles and compressed air breathing apparatus,, even calculated how long people could stay underwater how deep for how long. and design time delay underwater explosives the diver put onto the ships hulls undetected. It was like nothing the world had ever seen before. The Italians conquered underwater existence before anybody else.

1960s Toronto was created by Italian designers and built by Italian workers. That's why we have so much marble and then adapted to computer guided quarry cutters of N Ontario Granite slabs that were shipped south that now make up the 416 Financial district, In the long run its the best choice of materials. Low maintenance ..

Italians were the first to seize upon hemp-high end stuff - I saw my first hemp/silk blend high fashion in 1975 Milan evening wear collection that showed in downtown Toronto during CHIN Radio promotion ,, it was like Star trek cloth - I will never forget it
Now they tacking the design problem of Bunkbeds in small apartments and its awesome. Italian design is the best humans can do, so far.
