On the Canadian Internet Tax

we missed the chance
to create and maintain
a public internet works,
like we did a transnational railroad
and a cheap clean efficient
hydro elecrtic system
using Niagara Falls
all of which shaped & defined
former generations
Why?
because the civic mind
is not in fashion--
selfishness is smallness,
and thats not even
addressing greed
but personal & local concerns.
.......... smallness of social viison
I agree with your vision
of a consumption tax Ted-
make the poor pay
as well as the rich,
even visitors-
pay for what you consume..
that would just about do it too.
- but would require
a social meltdown to install
something like that
which I am sure can be arranged.
-a- work -now
-pay- later
-reap -benefits
- much -later - approach..
thats hard ball, but thats the way to go
