Sober Reflection on Friends

true friends are strong
and give to all persons
yet ask little or nothing
from anybody
but for the most part
we humans end up with
a streaming series of
co dependant happy faces
who think enough of us
to borrow money
or impose their turmoils on us
it's just a matter of time
before they resent us
for not doing enough for them
true friends
don't bring drama
into your life
they are part of
appreciation
and celebration
