Liz Taylor died.
Michael Jackson was once
her best friend,
he was kind d to her
they shared the burden of
lifelong celebrity status
that never faded away
their mythos greatly increased
over time
after one allegation
of child molestation
she slammed the door on
her great friend
and constant supporter
Michael jackson
when he needed her friendship
and support more than ever
now that she's dead
she is painted as
his greatest friend
and he didn't even do it
he said he didn't �do it
and the courts found him
not guilty twice
that adds up to innocent
America was rotton to Michael Jackson
if anybody was forced to be
their scapegoat for their failures
and short comings
it was Michael jackson
he suffered
for the crime of
self improvement
someone who by dint of hard work
and a creative original spirit'
transformed himself
from his origins in the shit
to the legitimate top of the heap
with talent
we could all see and hear
and paid to see and heap
it was him working hard
not hurting anybody else
& not cheating to get there
we laugh
but he overcame
the stigma of being black
by becoming some other colour
he succeeded in becoming
what he wanted to become
the only guy
who actually seized upon
and made full use of
the American dream
the human dream
everybody else was just a fat bastard
