Old Hippies

There is a difference
between what I believe
& support
and what I understand is happening
and see happening.
I piss people off
but I take care
to never play favourites
in matters such as this.
There are equally
as many out of service brain
fat cat corpotations out there
as there are
off road coinless community alties
mainstream is mainstream
because thats where the silt
backs up to form sandbars
and in this
wind tunnel design studio
on the last lap
there is no room
to make excuses for pet bumps
the winners get applause
the contenders get a wave
the whiner entitlers
get a face full of catbox
it all washes off so its ok
I watched " Harold & Maud "
a 1971 movie last night
those 1970 values
glow hysterically
from 42 years ago
the main characters
even use the word " organic "
as a sign of ultimate quality
that dares not be challenged
in the progression of the film
the characters were seriously
challenging values
that were laid down
20 - 30 years before them..
circa 1950 or 1940 ..
and that came off as progressive because they honoured
universal values & mocked transient values
Here we are inn 2012
trying to make excuses
for the 60s and the 70s
rather than
take the universal value
and consign the rest
to a land fill site where
it richly deserves to decompose.
Hippies are the
unpunished war criminals
walking amongst us..
holding the 21st C back
like World War 2 vets
tried to hold the 60s back..
so we end up fighting
moot details
as entire concepts
swish past under the social radar.
The media are the worst offenders
as they are the old school
60s 70s people now at the top..
and their trainees
are 80s 90s toads with
zero vision of their own..
an article at New Inquiry claimed that
...only six percent of Americans have read at least one book
in the last year, and that nearly sixty percent say
they haven't read a book at all since leaving school.....
maybe they can;t read
but they sure can write,
and what they > do write
is shit...

are being bettered
by the new century people
hands down fast and furious
who are discrete enough to plant flowering vines up the security walls
that keep the old century people
locked in their eco smug sector,
far away from the struggle zone.
Same way as old 1940s people
got the patio on the meadow
and the 1960s hippies got the beach.
