Repairs While You Wait & wait & wait & wait

when we hang around
with people who need help-
we help them because
they are not
helping themselves-
even though the chances of them
helping us or anybody else
are almost nil.
We don't wan't to be people
who get hung around with
by people who could help us,
because that means
there is something broken inside us
we can't or won't
fix ourself
best deal is hang around
with people who are already ok-
who have helped themselves,
who have washed up on the other side -
as they present a model of practical happy-
hanging with them is fun,
and we can still help people from there-
Broken people
never have
glue with them
to fix anyone else
