Anybody would freeze up
and say yes or no
as required
when some sharp guy weilding a recognizable media microphone
asked them a leading question..
They would rather
shamelessly suck up
to the interviewer
than share their true feelings
because sincerity
might well be edited out
and _not make the cut
for inclusion in the clip
Ego Hunger
to bask before the cameras
however briefly
is much stronger than
the desire to be heard
thats the problem with polls,
people are glitz wacked
when they have a camera on them
when the interviewer
aims the hypnotic microphone
they would admit
to anything -
to anybody-
at any time-
without hope of reward
like a caged budgie
fascinated
with its own reflection
in a tiny mirror
Maybe this is why
the law courts
ban all media
and demand proceedings
carry on in public
propelled soley by
the human factor
because everybody's
in showbizz
