Sacred Private Life

The dumb little things
that make up our life
are trash and of
no enduring value..
but they are the pearls
of our sacred private life,
and as soon as they
see
the light of the screen
they become
invalid
points of comparison
The greatest
and most important freedom
is to be compared to nothing.
We rarely have our
freedoms
taken from us
or our liberty stolen
but we sure notice
these facets missing
when we realize
we were foolish about
who we shared them with,
where we abandoned them,
when we stopped
giving a shit
about
our sacred things--
Big Brother
just wants your money
He
has no interest
in your sacred things
Facebook
is only interested
in
your marketable details
they don't care
about
your sacred things
Who _is concerned about
the sacred aspects
of your life?
Anybody who loves you
is concerned about
the sacred things
in your life -
& that may well
include yourself
