Home Sweet Home **************** Arrowheads revealed at Snowmelt Only goes to show that Southern Ontario has been the home of many many people for a very long time- Supporting a much higher population than is usually imagined enduring for much longer than is generally believed... Substantial and sustained populations of people for thousands of years, perhaps one of the heaviest clusters of humans anywhere in the world who did not require the `city system` to succeed- hunting, fishing & farming was so generous- all lived peacefully off ` the fat of the land `aka paradise --- even long after the arrival of Europeans Who else visited here on one way voyages from far away city states in decline to live by the chase with true men as in ancient times will be the subject of startling forensic science for many years to come Exiles escaping tyrany, war & famine the wasting effects of disease & filth of civilization to live in paradise of the temperate New World Burning the boats on the beach and never again thinking of returning home across the ocean This new land was their home beyond the Islands of the Blessed of the east coast of America penetrating deep inland by small craft along the highways of rivers to dwell by the Sweetwater Sea A paradise so hard to achieve yet so easy to sustain once you arrive
