I was on an internet discussion forum
about social policy in canada
giving it my two cents worth
while everybody else gave it
their two cents worth
grand total : about 20 cents
and then one of the regulars
on the discussion forum
took great offense
at one of the posters
-crapped on
their point of view
they were describing
we were all reading with relish
as it was based on a personal experience
as it offered fresh insight
into the ways of this world
and maybe why / how / when / where
things happen the way they do//
the regular forum person cut in
snapped a vicious personal attack
on the story teller screeching
that this doesn't matter
that such and such that they believe
is right and valid wholesome and valuable
anything else is wrong,
and closed minded
that story teller contributor
who actually experienced
a phase of human life
the rest of hadn't
was wrong and bad.
stupid and delusional
and that they should just please leave
Where I come from that kind of snarl
at anyone sharing a legitimate point
is super duper bad form
plain and simple
and I noted their outburst
anxiety machine gun spray
sort of froze any further discussion
and here's the rot part=
the other forum players felt
it was more important
to console the outburster insulter
than to console the offended party
or even return to civil discussion
and leave that bad form moment behind
as the collective tone shifted to
soothing the hysterical asshole
rather than point out how crappy
their online scream caps fest was the whole point under discussion evaporated.
man thats a super bully
at the height of their game
and it was somewhat sad to see
otherwise good people
trying to actually explore ideas
fall for the screams of a bully
who didn't want certain realities played out
realities that the observer had actually experienced
and was sharing with us all
So what to do about liberal bullies
who snap when there is a point raised
that challenges their views?
I say call then" fatso "
and then tell them to lose
the excess weight in their heads
and / or fuck off
preferably both
and to try harder
living with the rest of us
as an equal human being
I dunno why
people are afraid of bullies
on a fear wobble demand-o-thon
they actually are the weakest people
in the whole world
no matter how loud they yell
I guess I will never be a cool Liberal
with this attitude
I didn't even console the bully
i expected them to
get over themself, asap
and get on with the discussion.
maybe even apologise
for being an asshole
with serious control issues
so that we don't form the opinion
that this is who you really are
deep down
and you can't help yourself
thats where the Fuck off part comes in handy
